Puss Moth Caterpillar

The other day I was closing the gate to my backyard and my hand brushed something furry. I looked and noticed this soft looking caterpillar trying to get back on it's feet. I quickly grabbed my camera and snapped a picture so I could identify it later. This is the very friendly-looking, but very poisonous "Puss Moth Caterpillar" - and despite is looking soft to the touch, I knew better and kept my distance. The hairs on this caterpillar are attached to poison glands and it is poisonous so do not touch if you find one.
